<p style="margin:.4em 0 .5em;">The owner of the business, Mike Vraney, was inspired by his teenage job as a theater <a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Projectionist" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projectionist">projectionist</a>. His love for the obscure films that never made it to video prompted him to transfer hundreds of ancient reels of film to VHS and DVD.</p>

<p style="margin:.4em 0 .5em;">
<p style="margin:.4em 0 .5em;">From Wiki</p>
<p>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troma_Entertainment</p>
<p style="margin:.4em 0 .5em;">Troma films are <a class="mw-redirect" style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="B-movie" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-movie">B-movies</a> known for their <a class="mw-redirect" style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Surrealistic" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surrealistic">surrealistic</a> or <a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Surrealist automatism" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surrealist_automatism">automatistic</a> nature, along with their use of shocking imagery; some would categorize them as &#8220;shock <a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Exploitation film" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploitation_film">exploitation films</a>&#8220;. They typically contain overt sexuality, graphic violence, gore and nudity, so much that the term &#8220;Troma film&#8221; has become synonymous with these characteristics. Troma&#8217;s slogan is Movies of the Future. Troma reuses the same props, actors, and scenes repeatedly, sometimes to save money. At a certain point, however, this became another hallmark of Troma. Examples include a severed leg, a penis monster, and the flipping and exploding car filmed for the movie <a class="mw-redirect" style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sgt._Kabukiman,_NYPD">Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD</a>, which is used in place of any other car that needs to crash and explode.</p>
<p style="margin:.4em 0 .5em;">Troma produced or acquired early films featuring several rising talents, such as <a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Carmen Electra" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmen_Electra">Carmen Electra</a> (The Chosen One), <a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Billy Bob Thornton" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Bob_Thornton">Billy Bob Thornton</a>(<a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Chopper Chicks in Zombietown" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chopper_Chicks_in_Zombietown">Chopper Chicks in Zombietown</a>), <a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Vanna White" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanna_White">Vanna White</a> (Graduation Day), <a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Kevin Costner" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Costner">Kevin Costner</a> (<a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Sizzle Beach, U.S.A." href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sizzle_Beach,_U.S.A.">Sizzle Beach, U.S.A.</a>), <a style="background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-color:initial;" title="Samuel L. <p>Video Art definition from Wiki</p>
<p>&#8220;Video art is a type of art which relies on moving pictures and comprises video and/or audio data. (It should not however be confused with television production or experimental film). Video art came into existence during the 1960s and 1970s, is still widely practiced and has given rise to the widespread use of video installations. Video art can take many forms: recordings that are broadcast, viewed in galleries or other venues, or distributed as video tapes or DVD discs; sculptural installations, which may incorporate one or more television sets or video monitors, displaying ‘live’ or recorded images and sound; and performances in which video representations are included.[1]&#8220;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.moma.org/collection/theme.php?theme_id=10215">Video Art</a></p>
<p>&#8220;Term used to describe art that uses both the apparatus and processes of television and video. It can take many forms: recordings that are broadcast, viewed in galleries or other venues, or distributed as tapes or discs; sculptural installations, which may incorporate one or more television receivers or monitors, displaying ‘live’ or recorded images&#8230;&#8221;</p>
